About Point Loma, California

Point Loma is one of the oldest communities in San Diego, and certainly one of the finest! Surrounded by the ocean on one side and beautiful San Diego Bay on the other, Point Loma 's prestigious neighborhoods boast incredible skyline and water views.

There are several interesting and fascinating sites in Point Loma including the Point Loma Light House on the very tip of the point, as well as Fort Rosecrans Memorial Cemetery. Point Loma is also home to the harbor and Shelter Island where one can dine at many fabulous seafood restaurants along the water or enjoy a live concert at Humphrey's Restaurant and Hotel

There are several yacht clubs in Point Loma such as the San Diego Yacht Club, The Kona Kai Hotel and Marina and Southwestern Yacht Club, perfect for those who own a boat or simply want to take advantage of the other amenities such as tennis,  swimming, racquetball, health spa facilities and wonderful dining all in a private club setting.

There is a variation of architectural designs throughout the Point Loma area which includes homes with very different styles such as Spanish, English Tudor, French, California Ranch Style and Contemporary. This variation depicts a nice blend of styles throughout the neighborhoods. Point Loma has been a well known fishing community since it's conception so there is a wonderful sense of history, devotion and commitment amongst the local residents who 's families have been here for generations!
